  • simultaneous interpreting

The reference standards applied are UNI EN ISO 17100 and UNI 10574.

UNI EN ISO 17100 is an international standard in which it defines the requirements that companies offering translation services must comply with in performing a quality service that effectively meets client and other applicable specifications by demonstrating the capability of their processes and resources. Applicable specifications may include those of the client, those of the translation service provider (TSP) itself, and those of codes, best-practice guidelines of any kind, or those set forth in current regulations with reference to this field.

The UNI 10574 standard is aimed at companies that provide Interpreting services. Certification according to this standard is intended to attest to the achievement and maintenance of service quality levels in the different types of interpreting. Much attention is paid by the standard with respect to personnel requirements with related training arrangements, service design and contract preparation arrangements, and finally to service delivery and control arrangements.
