Laboratory verification of RoHS Directive compliance


The new RoHS or RoHS 2 directive, officially known as Directive 2011/65 / EC on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (recast), restricts the use of lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr6 +), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) in the manufacture of some of the electrical and electronic equipment sold in the European Union.

Laboratory verification methods for RoHS compliance include:
