The CSI Food Packaging Materials laboratory offers companies testing, validation, conformity studies and product certification services according to technical standards or legal requirements. The Food area whose competences are compositional, nutritional, microbiological and sensorial analysis of food, definition of quality parameters, research of GMOs, contaminants, additives and allergens, includes the most complete structure for advanced shelf life studies, exploiting expertise in terms of food science, packaging technologies, chemical analysis, sensory tests, microbiological investigations, using the most modern chemical and chemical-physical analysis instruments.
CSI, moreover, through Agri-Forest Suplly Chain Certification sector, issues voluntary certifications of products and processes referring specifically to the food and food packaging sector.
The presence of this division within an integrated system of laboratory services, operating on a wide range of products, allows a strong economy of scale to be achieved in favour of market operators, which arises from the opportunity of a global laboratory and certification service.
