Physical-Mechanical Tests of Materials

CSI performs a wide range of physical-mechanical tests on the resistance of materials, which allow to verify the characteristics of the items and check that they correspond to the quality standards specified in the technical data sheets or in the product standards.

Some of the matrices analyzed are:

  • Protective clothing (PPE);
  • Plastic material in the form of flexible film, labels or rigid film;
  • Ceramic or polymeric coatings

and some of the physical-mechanical tests that can be conducted are:

  • Color fastness to chemicals, artificial saliva and artificial sweat and discoloration;
  • Tensile, mechanical resistance and adhesiveness test;
  • Abrasion resistance;
  • Dimensional changes after conditioning;
  • Resistance of the seams;
  • Performance test during use (microwavability, flame cooking, oven cooking).
