The laboratory carries out microbiological tests on materials intended for food contact in order to verify their hygienic quality.
With this type of test it is possible to verify and guarantee the hygienic-sanitary safety, and therefore - in a broader sense - the quality of raw materials and products made by companies operating in the packaging field.
In addition to the strictly analytical activity, the Laboratory, thanks to a team of experienced and trained technicians, also supports the Customer in the definition of the analysis package to be applied, more or less extensive:

Although the verification of the hygiene status of primary packaging for the FCMs sector is not a mandatory requirement (there is no legislation regulating this activity), it is a monitoring required by voluntary public standards (such as ISO and UNI) and private standards (such as BRC).
Private standards, in particular, are issued by organisations or large private industry groups and essentially reflect the views of the large food groups that use packaging for their products. Typically, these standards - although formally voluntary - are imposed as the essential condition for establishing a commercial relationship.
