Tests and Analysis for Nutritional Quality
Nutritional information is an essential tool for operators in the agro-food sector and for consumers, in order to make informed choices. Nutritional analysis is a useful means to characterize a food product from the point of view of the content of macro and microelements, vitamins, amino acids, particular sources of dietary fiber, and to ensure that this product meets the rules on food labeling.
The CSI Food laboratory researches and defines the identifying elements of the typicality of food products and carries out:
- Composition of foods with the determination of constituents and recipe ingredients, including food additives in accordance with EC Regulation N ° 1333/2008 and allergens;
- Centesimal analysis with fiber, micro and macro-elements, vitamins;
- Determination of mandatory nutritional label values in accordance with European Regulation 1169/2011;
- Sensory evaluation of food (consumer test);
- Identification of the microbial flora with technological functions;
- Correspondence to the purchase specifications of large organized distribution;
- Filth test.
