Testing and Verification of Conformity of Agri-food Industry Machinery (Food Machinery)
Food processing and handling machines, beverage dispensing devices and water collection, distribution and filtration devices also require strict controls in compliance with current legislation. The Food Packaging Materials Operating Sector is able to verify the conformity of each component of these devices thanks to analytical plans developed with the know-how gained over time:
- Verification of the food suitability of vending machines and coffee machines in accordance with national and international EU and EXTRA EU provisions;
- Evaluation of the effectiveness of water treatment for human consumption;
- Verification of the safety of materials in contact with water intended for human consumption and of electrical safety;
- Specific migration test on food in real process conditions.
To provide evidence of having operated in compliance with national and international provisions, CSI provides companies in the MOCA supply chain with a series of system and product certification according to voluntary standards, both public and private, such as:
- international ISO 22000 system standard, Food Safety Management Systems, a standard that allows each company to organize a food safety management system integrated with the mandatory legislation. It has the great merit of harmonizing the safety management approach along the entire food chain and of representing a tool for developing the HACCP method throughout the production system of the agri-food sector.
- private product standards, BRC IoP and IFS-HPC, standards recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative), an international initiative that aims to ensure safe products, compliant with legislation and meeting defined long-term purchase specifications the entire supply chain.
